The start of December

Here we are into the first week of December and the weather has been about as close to perfect as one could find.  Everyday, we have sunshine, blue skies, and mid-summer temperatures.  Hopefully this will last but it doesn't look good.

We are still near Quartzsite, AZ as we get a few chores done.  The motorhome is pretty well done being waxed - except for the front, which is always very tough to do.  Then there have been the odd trips into town, as we scout out whatever bargains are available, although everywhere you look, vendors are busily erecting their tents in order to sell their wares throughout the winter.

We also spend a bit of time discussing what is needed, both in materials and in construction, to revamp the system on our solar panels.  That definitely will be a work in progress as we decided the best way to do this.

Well, here we are at Wednesday, and we pretty much decided on what to do with the solar panels.  Or should I say that Gerry decided, but I did provide some input as I made suggestions, and questioned some of the process.  As the week progressed, the entire project was completed as we once again, helped stimulate the American economy.  All done - just need to order one more part!!

As the week draws to a close, there wasn't much time for play.  Rather it was a week of work (and we thought we were on a winter holiday???)  We did meet some fine folks -  he is from Alberta, and she is from Idaho.  As we sat around a wonderful fire, we had a great visit as we heard of the various problems of a cross-border relationship.

As the weather gets cold for our friends and family at home, the cold tends to filter south as we are promised some cooler temperatures.  This does mean probably long pants and perhaps a long sleeved sweater - particularly if it is windy.  But just as your weather forecast says there are warmer days ahead, likewise with ours.

Since the past week was spent more for work than for picture taking, I have just included a couple - one to say once more what spectacular sunsets are the norm, and one showing how an nice warm evening can be spent.

On Saturday, we moved to a spot near Yuma, AZ.  Here we will do some much needed Christmas shopping and spend  time visiting dear friends.

I hope everyone had a great week and may next week be enjoyable.
